How To Clean Epoxy Flooring

Getting epoxy floors to look good is a challenge. They’re designed to withstand a lot of wear and tear, and they are typically getting a lot of dirt and grime tracked on them. Because of that, you need to know how to clean your epoxy floors in maryland in an effective manner. How do you do it? Here’s a step by step guide.

Get Everything Off the Floor

Before you start anything, you want to make sure that you take the time to go ahead and pick up everything off of the floor. Put it outside or in a space where it’s not going to be on the flooring. That will give you more space and make it easier to clean every square inch of your flooring.

Sweep and Vacuum

Get rid of the surface dirt and dust by sweeping and vacuuming. Most modern vacuums have a “hard floor” setting that you can use. Or, you can use a shop vac, which works on most floors. Either way, get rid of as much dirt as possible before you start the next step of the process.

Mop the Floor

Using a hard foam mop and warm, soapy water, you want to go through and mop the entire floor. Scrub at the spaces where there is additional junk and grime. If you need to do so, go through it twice with the mop (allowing it to dry in between). Clear out the rest of it by rinsing with a hose.

As you can see, there are a lot of ways to actually get ahead of the game in relation to your epoxy floors. If you’re willing to put a little time and elbow grease, you can get the excess junk off of your epoxy floors and make sure that they look as good as new.
